Agent Sprite Forge

Agent skill by 0x0funky · for Claude Code, Codex and Grok

Agent skills that turn one approved character still into a full 2D sprite set (idle, walk, run, attack, jump, hurt), keyed, looped and exported for Godot, Aseprite or the web, plus maps and animated GIFs.

Install

claude plugin marketplace add 0x0funky/agent-sprite-forge --sparse .claude-plugin skills && claude plugin install agent-sprite-forge@agent-sprite-forge

Run it in a terminal, then start a new agent session so the skill loads. Read the repo's README and scripts before you install: skills run with your agent's permissions.

What it does

Agent Sprite Forge makes 2D game art from prompts. Version 0.4 works in two steps: first the agent generates a few takes of a master still for your character and you approve one, then it makes one image-to-video clip per action from that still.

Deterministic Python tools then check each take, key out the background, pick clean loops, retime slow one-shots to game speed, lock colors to the master and package every action. Exports include Godot SpriteFrames and Sprite3D, Aseprite JSON, a PNG atlas and web video, plus maps for Tiled, Godot and LDtk. An optional pixel finish uses at most 32 colors.

Generation routes through an API key you configure (OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI, BytePlus or fal.ai), or your signed-in Codex or Grok CLI, with code-drawn art as a last resort. The README notes that its MIT license does not cover what you generate; generated media follows each provider's terms.
